The service

twiga is an independent player and privacy layer for IPTV sources you supply. We encrypt your credentials, relay your streams through our VPN exits, and fetch your TV guide over Tor. We do not provide, sell, license, or bundle any channels or content.

Your account and email

A twiga account is a key. Creating one requires no email address, name, or other personal detail, and an account can hold none.

You can attach an email later, in settings, if you want email-based recovery and security alerts. You can remove it at any time; removing it also clears any marketing choice tied to it.

Accepting these terms creates your account. It is not consent to marketing email. Marketing email is a separate, explicit choice you make in settings, and you can withdraw it at any time. See the Privacy notice.

Payments and fees

• Free during the beta. During the beta everything is free — nothing is charged and there is no checkout. €4/month and €33/year are the planned post-beta prices, in Monero. After the beta, continued access is a paid plan — a flat fee for the whole package, with no per-device or per-channel charge.
• Paid in Monero. Fees are settled in Monero (XMR). twiga stores no card, bank, or billing-identity details and does not require government ID. A payment is not linked to the account it grants access to.
• Renewals add to your remaining time. Paying again before your access lapses adds to the time you have left rather than replacing it.
• Monero payments are final. Transactions on the Monero network can't be reversed by twiga, and a payment isn't linked to the account it credits — there's nothing to trace back and return. During the beta, prepaid access is non-refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
• Access is supplied immediately — a prepaid grant, not a subscription. Each purchase issues a prepaid access grant that twiga supplies the moment your payment confirms; it never auto-renews. By paying, you ask twiga to supply it immediately and you acknowledge that, once supplied, you lose your 14-day right to withdraw from the purchase for a refund. twiga is free to use in full during the beta before you ever pay, so a paid purchase is a deliberate choice. A payment that confirmed but didn't turn on access is a fault we fix, not a refund; and where the law does require a refund, we make one in Monero to an address you give us — reach us through Support.
• Prices. Prices are shown excluding applicable VAT and may change; changes apply to future payments only, not to time already prepaid.

Your responsibilities

• Authorized use only. Add only sources, credentials, and guides you own or are authorized to access.
• Provider compliance is on you. You remain responsible for your IPTV provider contract, third-party terms, and applicable law.
• Account security. Keep your credentials safe; you're responsible for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

We may limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that misuse the service or present a security or legal risk. Prohibited: sharing streams between users, reselling access, circumventing DRM, scraping, or any unlawful use.

Eligibility and accounts

• Eligibility. Users must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the service.
• Accurate details. A twiga account requires no name, email, or other personal detail. If you choose to attach an email, provide one you control, and keep your devices and credentials secure.
• Account activity. Users are responsible for activity under their account unless caused by twiga's own misconduct.
• Verification and limits. twiga may refuse registration, limit access, or require verification where needed for security, fraud prevention, operational stability, or legal compliance.

Prohibited use

• No rights violations. Users may not violate the rights of a content owner, platform, provider, or other third party.
• No unauthorized access. Users may not use credentials, sources, or streams they are not authorized to use.
• No unlawful or abusive use. Users may not break the law, evade lawful restrictions, facilitate fraud, or interfere with the service or other users.
• No resale or exploitation. Users may not resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service without twiga's written permission.

No content supplied by twiga

twiga does not supply channels, subscriptions, or a preloaded public catalog. Any channels, logos, guide data, or source details shown in the service come from the user's configured sources or related metadata feeds.

twiga does not guarantee that third-party streams, metadata, or upstream services will remain available, lawful, accurate, or uninterrupted.

Program guide

twiga fetches publicly available broadcast schedule data (channel names, program titles, air times, descriptions, and categories) for your channels — the same public TV schedule facts published by television listing services worldwide. Guide data is fetched per source over Tor and kept scoped to your own list.

twiga does not pool, aggregate, or share program-guide data across users. No user credentials, source URLs, viewing history, channel preferences, or account identity leave your account. For details, see the Privacy notice.

Third-party sources and availability

twiga does not control the continued availability, quality, legality, or accuracy of third-party playlists, upstream channels, or metadata sources that a user configures. Playback quality, metadata quality, and stream availability may change without notice because of upstream outages, provider changes, content removals, expired credentials, rate limits, or network conditions.

twiga relays and may cache source and playback traffic as part of operating the service. It forwards that traffic as opaque bytes; it does not decode, transcode, or inspect the content of your streams.

Accounts, security, and service changes

• Account security. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their twiga account and authorized devices.
• Service evolution. twiga may change product features, technical delivery paths, or supported clients over time.
• Operational limits. twiga may apply limits or restrictions where needed for security, abuse prevention, reliability, or legal compliance.

Suspension and termination

twiga may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create security risk, abuse service capacity, or expose twiga to legal or operational harm. Users may stop using the service at any time and can delete their account directly from the web dashboard under Settings → Delete account; deletion requests can also be sent to [email protected].

Account deletion

Users can delete their account at any time from the web dashboard, under Settings → Delete account (a typed confirmation is required). Deletion signs the user out immediately and removes the account together with its linked data — configured sources, sealed credentials and stream URLs, channel lists, account settings, and any email address and communication preferences you attached.

Users may also request deletion by contacting [email protected], which is the route for administrator accounts and any client that does not yet expose the self-service control. Some information may be retained where twiga must do so for security, fraud prevention, bookkeeping, or legal obligations.

Intellectual property and feedback

• twiga property. twiga and its licensors own the service, including the app, software, branding, designs, and documentation, except for content and source data that a user lawfully provides.
• Limited license. Subject to these terms, twiga grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for its intended purpose.
• Feedback. If a user provides feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the service, twiga may use them without restriction or compensation unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. twiga does not warrant that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available, or that third-party sources, channels, metadata, logos, or EPG data will always remain complete, current, accurate, or lawful.

Nothing in these terms excludes warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, twiga will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to use of the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, twiga's total liability for claims arising out of or related to the service will not exceed the amount paid to twiga for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100 if nothing was paid. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be resolved in the competent courts of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, unless applicable consumer law requires a different forum.

Cookies and local storage

twiga keeps this small. We set only the cookies needed to sign you in and keep you signed in — there are no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no cross-site tracking, and no fingerprinting. Page-view analytics are self-hosted and cookieless (Umami). Because every cookie below is strictly necessary to run the service, no consent banner is shown; you can still clear them at any time in your browser.

Cookies we set

• Sign-in session — twiga_session. Set after you sign in; keeps you signed in and authenticates your requests. Marked HttpOnly and Secure (scripts can't read it; sent only over HTTPS) with SameSite=Lax. Expires after 7 days, or immediately when you sign out. Strictly necessary.

On-device storage

The web app also uses your browser's local and session storage for a few conveniences. This data stays on your device — it is not a cookie, is never attached to requests, and is never sent to twiga:

• Last channel — twigaLastPlayed. Remembers the last channel you opened so you can jump back to it.
• App preferences — player and interface settings, an "intro already seen" flag (twiga_intro), import progress (twiga_ingest_start), and a note of formats your browser can't decode (hevc-broken), so the player behaves consistently for you.

Clearing cookies and site data in your browser signs you out and removes these local preferences. See the Privacy page for how twiga handles data more broadly.
