A five-character fix the demuxer hid for days, a single wrong number that left a channel silent for two — and the build gate we wrote so we couldn't cheat our way past either.
The first version was self-hosted software that reshaped your streams on the server — which meant the server could see them. Four days later the transcoder was gone, and the rule was law: the server never sees what's inside your stream.
We deleted the engine we'd just gotten right, shipped its browser-native replacement, rebuilt the mobile player — and, on the last night, closed the logo's eyes to match the promise.
